Friday January 29th
3:00 EST – #10 Colgate at Rensselaer
Colgate looks to solidify their position in the ECAC’s top eight. They sit in fifth, tied in points with Harvard (but losing the head-to-head tiebreaker) and have a five-point gap on ninth, the first spot left home from the ECAC tournament. RPI’s position is more precarious, sitting in 7th with a two-point gap.
7:00 EST – New Hampshire at #6 Northeastern
Northeastern is locked into the #2 seed in Hockey East so they’re a little bit on cruise control until the end of the season. New Hampshire will battle with Connecticut for the fourth and final home ice spot in the opening round of the Hockey East Tournament.
7:00 EST – Connecticut at Vermont
The Catamounts look to break their attendance record for their Pack the Gut night. (Vermont plays at the Gutterson Fieldhouse.) Meanwhile Connecticut is locked into a battle for home ice with New Hampshire for the Hockey East quarterfinals.
Saturday January 30th
3:00 EST – St. Lawrence at #5 Clarkson
The Knights finally found some puck luck, putting six shots past Saints goaltenders on Thursday. They’re chasing Quinnipiac for the ECAC’s top seed.
4:00 EST – Cornell at Rensselaer
A big game for ECAC Tournament possibilities. Cornell is in ninth, one point out of the mix and two points behind RPI (depending on what happens Friday). This game could see the teams swap places in the standings if the Big Red come away victorious.
4:00 EST – Connecticut at Vermont
A sweep for the Catamounts will move them above Connecticut in Hockey East’s standings. Three points or more will clinch them a spot in the Hockey East Tournament.
