With the ECAC occupying spots six through ten and at least four teams on most ballots, people seem to agree that the ECAC teams are pretty good, even if the order differs. Last week we talked about who’s good and who isn’t so no need to rehash that. We can look at a very early ECAC table though.
And yes the ECAC is awarding 1.5 points for ties #FML. Quinnipiac has the tiebreaker on Princeton via head to head goal differential (3-1, 0-1 results) and Dartmouth on St. Lawrence via their 6-2 victory two weeks ago.
Notably, Clarkson and St. Lawrence sit low thanks to having played the fewest games with Clarkson the only undefeated team remaining and St. Lawrence’s points per game putting them right below their North Country neighbors.
This week will answer some questions as Princeton and Quinnipiac travel to play Colgate (and Cornell I guess) and St. Lawrence and Clarkson host a very good Yale team and plucky Brown squad. The rest of the ECAC will be off this week, presumably taking tests or going bowling or something.
