Breaking Down the 2017 Hockey East Tournament

The Hockey East quarterfinals are best of three series played at the home school of the top seeds. The semifinals and finals are single-elimination games played at a predetermined site. This year’s tournament will be played in Boston at Boston University.

WCHA Tournament: Final Weekend

The most notable takeaway from the quarterfinals weekend was Minnesota-Duluth’s upset of Bemidji State.  That’s likely the end of the road for the Beavers who won’t catch Princeton in the PairWise Rankings.  It’s a disappointing finish for a solid senior class.

Hockey East Tournament: Final Weekend

Boston College and Northeastern won blowout sweeps over their opponents while Boston University and Connecticut struggled.  It looks like the Eagles and Huskies are on a collision course for the finals.  Not those Huskies, the other Huskies.

CHA Tournament: Final Weekend

Penn State handled RIT with relative ease and Robert Morris withstood an early challenge from Lindenwood to give us a standard 1, 2, 3, 4 CHA semifinals.
